While studying to take the state exam for my real estate license, I learned about the many positive impacts that owning a home has in its community. The most profound way is socially in my opinion. Communities with high home ownership studies have shown, leads to greater educational outcomes for the children of these communities, lower crime rates, and a more engaged populous in their local politics.

After learning how I can serve my community by helping potential home buyers and sellers, it has given me an opportunity to recognize my individual skills, attributes, and expertise to help in this pursuit. My background affords me distinct characteristics that I plan to utilize in my new career in real estate. As a veteran, my time serving and the many life lessons I learned such as teamwork, accountability, and commitment can now be given to help others. Also, having over ten years' experience as a small business owner and operator of my own facilities maintenance firm, I can apply these experiences to find success in real estate now. 

Growing up my grandparents were my first example of home ownership. My grandmother in particular would often describe me as a go-getter when it came to doing chores around the house, ironically. As I seek to help potential clients purchase their first home, sell an existing one, or pursuing an investment property. How I would like to be described now is a go-giver, by giving all that I can in helping and assisting in realizing such an important endeavor.
