Karl guides clients in making their best real estate decisions by leveraging his broad experience and relationships within the Bay Area real estate market and the industry.
Karl is a Director with the California Association of Realtors (since 2006), past Director of the National Association of Realtors (2013 to 2019), 2010 President of Santa Clara County Association of Realtors, Past Chair of the MLSListings Board of Directors (2019 to 2021), and 2007/2008 President of the Chinese-American Real Estate Association. He has served on industry committees focused on housing, tax, real estate industry research, real estate financing, MLS (Multiple Listing Services), and strategic planning. The Santa Clara County Association of Realtors awarded Karl "Realtor of the Year" in 2006 and the Byron Brawley Lifetime Achievement Award in 2015.
In addition to his industry contributions, Karl served on the City of San Jose's General Plan Task Force (2009 to 2012, 2015 to 2016, 2019 to 2020) and Foreclosure Prevention Task Force (2009 to 2012). The General Plan Task Force is charged with providing the City Council with a 30-year land use plan. The City of San Jose and the Housing Trust of Silicon Valley also awarded Karl a contract to acquire over 30 foreclosed homes, renovate and resell to low to moderate income households from 2010 to 2012.
He was a Corporate Finance Manager in the banking industry prior to becoming a Realtor, including with Bank of America. Karl is a life-long Bay Area resident who grew up in San Jose. He is a Boston College alumni.
